How it Started?

My passion for woodworking began in 8th grade woodshop. Over time, the passion grew under the direction of my junior high and high school woodshop teacher, Mr. Peterson. As a young adult in 1998, the passion was reignited, by building a crib, cradle and changing table for my first daughter. Soon after, I built a 2nd crib and cradle which was entered in the local county fair. The crib was awarded the grand prize in woodworking, and the cradle was the runner up. The exposure from the county fair resulted in building several more custom cribs, cradles, dressers and changing tables over the next few years.

As the children grew, the priorities changed and woodworking was paused.

Now that the girls are grown and focusing on their careers, I have the time to dedicate to woodworking on the weekends and evenings, specifically focusing on cribs.

I personally manage all aspects from selection of the finest Northwestern PA grown red oak, design, all aspects of construction and final finishing which includes hand rubbed stain and 4 coats of semi-gloss polyurethane.
